5. About cookies

5.1 A cookie is a file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent by a web server to a web browser and is stored by the browser. The identifier is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server.

5.2 Cookies may be either "persistent" cookies or "session" cookies: a persistent cookie will be stored by a web browser and will remain valid until its set expiry date, unless deleted by the user before the expiry date; a session cookie, on the other hand, will expire at the end of the user session, when the web browser is closed.

5.3 Cookies do not typically contain any information that personally identifies a user, but personal data that we store about you may be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies.

6. Cookies used by our service providers

6.1 Our service providers use cookies and those cookies may be stored on your computer when you visit our website and do not explicitly opt-out from such tracking.

6.2 We use Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers. The service provider in the EU is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. A transfer of data to the USA (Google LLC based in California) cannot be excluded though. The analytics service does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. The data sent by us and linked to cookies are automatically deleted after 14 months. Reports provided by Google Analytics are used to help us understand website traffic and webpage usage. You may opt out of this tracking by clicking “Refuse” when coming to the website or at any time by activating the “Do Not Track” setting in your browser (see section 8 below). You can find out more about Google's terms and privacy policy by visitinghttps://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

6.3 During marketing campaigns we may use the conversion tracking pixel by Facebook (Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland). It is an analytics tool that allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising by understanding the actions people take on our website, so e.g. if someone actually signs up for our web app after seeing the ad on facebook. Details can be found here and Facebook’s data privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/policy.
